Part-time Front of House 

We are looking for someone to join our front of house team on a part-time basis, between 12 and 16 hours per week, to help support us during weekends and holidays! Experience would be preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.

Restaurant Manager 

The Trewythen are looking to recruit a passionate and enthusiastic Restaurant Manager to join our team.

The Restaurant Manager will manage and run the day-to-day operations of our 2 AA-Rosette restaurant ‘Chartists 1770’

We are looking for a highly organised, hospitality professional with a keen eye for detail and great customer service levels to lead our talented team maintaining our 5 star standards.

Chartists 1770 at The Trewythen is a 7-bedroom, 2 AA-Rosette restaurant with rooms situated in the quiet market town of Llanidloes, Mid-Wales.

Restaurant Manager duties and responsibilities

  • Provide excellent levels of customer service
  • Organise staff shifts and schedule rota’s in line with the business needs
  • Lead, mentor and inspire our team of apprentices
  • Recruit and train new team members
  • Ensure staff appraisals and reviews are completed and up to date
  • Work closely with our Executive Chef to plan new menus
  • Audit inventory levels and re-order stock with suppliers
  • Ensure that all health and safety procedures are followed according to regulations
  • Follow the company’s policies and procedures closely
  • Complete daily accounting reports and end of day banking
  • Monitor costs and expenses within the business helping to maximise sales and profits
  • Bring new ideas and strategy to the business

The role is full time, up to 40 hours a week and will include evenings and weekends

Hospitality Services Apprentice

The Trewythen is looking to recruit a Hospitality Services Apprentice to join our award-winning team.

The Hospitality Services Apprentice will be a full-time member of staff working across various areas of our Restaurant with Rooms.

We are looking for a friendly enthusiastic team member who is eager to take on an apprenticeship and learn new skills.

Chartists 1770 at The Trewythen is a 7-bedroom, 2 AA-Rosette restaurant with rooms situated in the quiet market town of Llanidloes, Mid-Wales.

Hospitality Services Apprentice Duties and Responsibilities

Restaurant:

  • Work as part of the team giving customers a positive impression of yourself and the organisation
  • Prepare the restaurant and bar areas ready for service
  • Take customer orders, serve food and beverages
  • Upsell food and beverage options to customers to help maximize sales
  • Ensure the restaurant and bar areas are clean and orderly
  • Maintain and deal with customer payments

Rooms:

  • Cleaning & servicing of bedrooms to ensure high standards
  • Collect linen and make beds
  • Maintaining and cleaning common areas
  • Provide bedroom servicing as and when customers require
  • Use the companies office equipment to monitor new bedroom bookings and prepare documents for new arrivals
  • Prepare customer accounts for checkouts
  • Deal with any customer queries and provide tourism information

This role is full-time, up to 40 hours a week and will include evenings and weekends

The person hired for this role will be enrolled on an apprenticeship in Hospitality Services

Salary – Apprenticeship wage, dependent on age
