Your Booking

  • Can I cancel or amend my booking?

Our cancellation policy is up to 4 pm, two days before you arrive. Please be aware that deposits will be non-refundable after this time.
To amend your booking please contact the team directly – reservations@trewythenhotel.wales

  • Has my booking been made as I have not received a confirmation?

Our confirmations are automatic, please firstly check your spam inbox, if you cannot find the confirmation please email the team and they will be happy to review your booking – reservations@trewythenhotel.wales

  • Can I make a group booking?

Group bookings can be made in the same way as individual bookings on our Book a Room webpage or please email the team – reservations@trewythenhotel.wales

 

Check-In/ Out

  • What time is Check-in?

Check-in is between 4pm and 8pm but if you would like an earlier arrival please contact us (01686 411333) and ask if this is possible.

  • What time is Check-out?

Check-out is 10.30am on the day of your departure.

  • What if I arrive at The Trewythen late/out of hours access?

To check-in after 8pm please call the on-site duty manager – 07535536521

To access the premises after these times once you have checked in you will need to use your front door key. This front door key will be on your key ring.

 

The Trewythen

  • Does The Trewythen have parking?

We have 6 free parking spaces to the side of the building available for guests, the spaces cannot be reserved. alternative parking is available to the rear of the building in a public car park.
The public car park behind our building also includes 4 electric charging points.
The Trewythen will not accept any responsibility for the loss or damage to any vehicle or contents left in the car park.

  • Can I smoke in the bedroom?

Smoking is not permitted at The Trewythen, we have a strict non-smoking policy within all parts of the building.

  • Does The Trewythen have secure bike storage?

No, we don’t have a bike store, however, the team is happy to store bikes in the bar area overnight

  • Is The Trewythen & Chartists 1770 dog friendly?

The Trewythen only accepts dogs in the outdoor seating area
We can only accept service dogs inside The Trewythen and Chartists 1770

  • Does The Trewythen have  a lift?

No, the building does not have a lift.

  • Does The Trewythen have WiFi access?

Yes, there is free Wifi throughout the building.

  • Do you have any Covid restrictions in place?

Although Covid restrictions have been lifted in Wales we are still acting with caution to keep all of our guests and staff as safe as possible.
please refer to our Covid-19 policy for the latest information.

  • Does The Trewythen recycle?

We do recycle as much as possible including newspapers, glass, cans, and plastic bottles. When staying with us please leave these items next to the rubbish basket and we will ensure it all goes in with the recycled waste.

 

Our Bedrooms

  • Facilities – Do you have hairdryers, Irons & Kettles available?

Ironing – There is an iron and ironing board available for guest use. Please ask a member of staff
Hair Dryer-There is a hairdryer located in the top draw of your dressing table
Kettle – There is a kettle in each room
Flat-screen TV -Instructions for using the digital TV is located in your dressing table
Sky TV / Sky Sports – We do not have Sky TV in the hotel

  • Are your bedrooms wheelchair accessible?

No, The Trewythen does not have a lift or any ground floor bedrooms, all rooms are on the first and second floors and are accessible via a staircase.

  • Are your bedrooms en-suite?

Yes, all of our rooms have en-suite bathrooms.

  • Do any of your bedrooms have bathtubs?

No, all of our en-suite bathrooms have showers, we have no bathtubs.

  • Can I request a room next to another or on a specific floor?

For all requests please contact the hotel directly via phone 01686 411333 or email reservations@trewythenhotel.wales, the team will do their best to accommodate your requests.

  • Do you have toiletries available?

Yes, there are toiletries available in each bedroom, if you require anything additional during your stay please speak to a member of the team.

  • Can I have extra linen, pillows or towels?

Yes, additional items are available, please speak to the team and they will be happy to assist.

  • How many people do your bedrooms accommodate?

We have 7 bedrooms, each a different size and style. our largest family rooms can accommodate up to 4 guests

  • Do you offer cots in bedrooms?

Yes, we are able to provide cots, we have a limited number so are subject to availability. Please contact the team as soon as possible to arrange this.

 

Food & Beverage

  • Does the building have a restaurant?

Yes, we have an on-site restaurant ‘Chartists 1770’ which has received 2 AA rosettes,  you can view the sample menus HERE
We have three seating areas at Chartists 1770 – our main dining room, our bar area and a walled, dog-friendly garden.

  • What are the restaurant opening times?

Chartists 1770 is open; 12pm-8pm Monday – Saturday and 12pm-3pm on Sundays
We serve Lunch 12pm-3pm, Coffee & Cake 2.30pm-5.30pm and Dinner 6pm-8.30pm
On Sunday’s we serve lunch 12pm-3pm

  • Does The Trewythen offer breakfast?

Yes, all rates offered are inclusive of a full Welsh breakfast
Breakfast is served;
Monday-Friday – 7.30am-9.30am
Saturday & Sunday – 8am-10am

  • Do you offer takeaway breakfasts / Lunches?

Yes, takeaway breakfast & lunch is available on request.

  • Do I have to pre-book a table in Chartists 1770?

Whilst making a reservation is not compulsory, we would suggest pre-booking a table to avoid disappointment as our restaurant can get very busy. Book a table on our website HERE

  • Are my online payments safe?

Yes. we use a secure third-party booking system,  so all the details entered as part of your booking are stored safely.

  • Is the advertised price per person or per room?

Our published rates on our website are per room and not per person.
All of our rates are inclusive of breakfast and VAT at the current rate.

  • Can I pay with cash?

We do accept cash payments, however, we do encourage cashless payments where possible.

  • Do you accept all credit cards?

We accept most credit cards, we are not able to accept Diners Club or American Express

  • Does the hotel offer commissionable rates to travel agents?

No, The Trewythen does not offer commissionable rates.
